The Tabernacle Volunteer Fire Department is a full-service public safety agency that provides fire prevention, emergency medical assistance and rescue services. The department serves more than 5,000 residents and maintains a staff of over 30 employees. The Tabernacle Volunteer Fire Department maintains a fleet of front-line pumpers, tankers and a brush truck. It works to protect lives, property and environment from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. In addition, the department receives and responds to request calls for emergency medical assistance via 911 telephone systems. The Tabernacle Volunteer Fire Department has been operational since 1978 and is located in Trinity, N.C.
