This place is adorable!! It has a 'main street' store front feel with a cafe, coffee and ice cream shop and small general store. I've heard the cheeses are really good here. You can also get gas for your car and it's right off the freeway.

A Little of Everything for Everyone

Bravo Farms, of Traver CA, is hard to miss as there’s almost a dozen signs in route and the decorative exterior that can be seen from CA 99 north or south bound. Outside, the façade resembles the old Western Towns of the 1800’s. Inside is a restaurant and store that sells foodstuffs and souvenirs. There’s an observation area to see how cheese is made, but not this day. An outdoor quadrangle is where several activities are offered to classify this Bravo Farms location, (there’s 4 of them), as an attraction as well as a restaurant. There’s activities arranged along the perimeter of a small quadrangle and a lot these seem well thought out to keep the kids busy but adult enough for everyone. To begin with, is a feeding area, where you can feed full-grown chickens and roosters. You feed them from your hand after spending the 25 cent per portion from what appears to be a converted gumball machine. Almost directly across from this is a station to feed the newborns the same way. A shooting gallery has an animatronic pickup truck in the style of the recent “Cars” Pixar movie series and seems to be activated by motion detection. A sandbox surrounding a tree with slide next to it, is decorative but a little too cluttered with toy dump trucks to be practical. Perhaps it’s meant to be more for display? Fully functional, is an open pit BBQ where they were preparing the day’s ribs. There’s a treehouse and an upstairs arcade. The upstairs gives a good view of everything as well and looking up at me, I notice a Llama? Going back down, the last thing I explored was an area of antiques for sale. If you just want to look around, every millimeter of wall space is adorned with license plates, product signs, municipal signs, and humorous placards from many decades. These are organized very well, by category, and doesn’t give a cluttered feeling. The amateur and student photographer may find these items, good subject matter for nostalgic and man-made scenery. There’s so much more to say than this reviewer writes today, but I just didn’t have all day to spend here which can be easily done. I’m told that even weddings are performed here. Restaurant, Store, Cheese Shop, Petting Zoo, and many activities. Definitely a little of everything fir everyone.
