Seaside Palace Restaurant

On a belly dancing night, I decided to bring my family and a couple guests to this restaurant. After two couples had ordered shared meals, a server (not our own) requested that we order one meal per person. When we asked why, he said that he would tell us later. It was obvious that our waiter had complained to the other server about ordering shared meals. No sign was displayed in the menu or restaurant concerning this rule and there was no extra charge for shared meals, which we would have happily paid. After being embarassed in front of our guests, we agreed to their request to order one meal per person. Save yourself the embarassment and unprofessionalism and try another persian restaurant in the area

I've been told by some of my friends that this restaurant serves pretty authentic Persian food. The service is average but the entertainment was enjoyable. Two belly dancers, a live band and a dance floor! You should definitely try this for the experience.

Unhappy with the food. I found it to be quite below stand Persian fare. The waiter was very
rude and unattentive. Overall a pretty sad experience and we will not return.

I want to preface this review by saying that the food is good, service is not. If you want to get the good food, order takeout and eat it at home. This restaurant has pretty good persian food for the area. There aren't that many persian food restaurants in the south bay and this one is the best one. I wouldn't say it's as good as some of the ones in west LA, but it's good. The previous reviewers were right. It's got TERRIBLE service. The waiters were rude and they didn't even allow us to split a plate for a fee! Splitting a plate was NOT an option. That's just ridiculous. They said it's because on Friday and Saturday nights, they have belly dancing and music. I personally could have done without the music, since it was more of a nuisance and was too loud. The belly dancer didn't come out until later at night, and we left before the belly dancer came out. To add insult to injury, the bill was paid for using a credit card. The credit card slip came back with the tip and total already filled out for us. How rude! I've NEVER been in a restaurant had the audacity to do this. I decided I will NEVER eat in that restaurant again. However, since I get the occasional persian food craving, I decided that I could just order takeout and never worry about bad service from this place again. That's worked out very well for me the past year.
