Unprofessional Reps on the Phone

After not finding an account in the system, the Rep stopped answering my question and hung up on me. If the Rep did not know the answer to the question (and we don't do that is not an acceptable answer to a why not), then he should have transferred me to a supervisor or manager.If I am ever in need for my business to use a collection services, I will never use this company. People who may or may not owe money are still people and deserve to be treated accordingly.As it turns out, I do not even owe this company money, but still feel compelled to write this review.

I believe all companies (unfortunately) have call centers overseas. If you are calling for a Verizon bill at UCB you can call and speak with one of the representatives in Ohio by calling 8OO-867-31O4. They are very willing to help. I've never been so pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of collection agency workers as I was with this one (I've been dealing with alot of debt from my divorce) Very helpfull!! If I would have known that I wouldn't be bullied like I've been before by other companies, I would have called to get the settlement alot sooner!

Very helpfull and professional, the telephone representative went out of her way to help me and provide information. Bill collectors typically have a bad reputation, but I felt it necessary to give credit where credit is due, and say that it was a pleasure doing business with this company. I even got a discount on my bill!

It would be very nice if your company employed those to whom English is not a second language. When discussing financial problems and personal identification, ie: correct pronunciation of names, it would be better all around to have someone on the other end of the phone that customers can understand. I have nothing against people from other countries; I work with them every day.

This is a terrible co. After calling the number listed on their letter in which I got Nigel, he proceded to tell me that even when they are located in Miramar Forida, they did not have a physical address where correspondence could be sent certified, return receipt so they can correct my account that was settled in August of 2007!. Then he gave me a fax # (claiming that this was the only way an account can be corrected) only to then tell me that was the wrong fax number for Verizon. So I get another number. After getting a Verizon call center in the Phillipines where the lady couldn't help me (the acct had been given to UCB, DUH!) I called back and got Nigel again! He proceded to give me another number for UCB Verizon accts, which was a wrong number! I called yet once more and then the supervisor claimed that they have too many Nigels working there (like that's a common name!) Long story short, I don't know if this will ever get corrected with this kind of service. Shame on you, UCB!

Hard to reach by phone, searched the net for the #. Not easily done.Brian assisted me and was very helpful. Issue resolved easily from that point.Recommend they update the #'s listed on their letters/notices.

This business is worthless and the staff is worse!

I called this company to arrange payment pay off and all I got was unprofessionalism. This company has no customer ethic and they are very rude. One employee in particular put her mouth to the phone and yelled at me. As she yelled I could hear laughing in the background. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I pray for their business and their employees because they don't realize how much my feelings were hurt.
