The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is a transportation center that moves people and cargo. It has surface transportation, seaport, airport and business operations. The authority is responsible for the operation, management and development of the Toledo Express Airport, a nonhub passenger and international air cargo airport. The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority also operates Metcalf Field, a general aviation airport. It provides maritime, trucking, development financing and land development services. The authority offers various financing options that include conduit and fixed-rate revenue bonds. Established in 1955, the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority has several rail yards that load automobiles, automotive parts, and food and petroleum products. Its property development and management division acquires strategic properties for the growth and development of transportation assets.
