- Dental ExaminationWe would love for you and your loved ones to join our dental family! Taking care of your dental health begins with a thorough dental examination and personal consultation with one of our exceptional doctors. During your first visit with us, we want to learn more about your past dental experiences and how we can make future visits to our dental office both pleasant and comfortable.
- X-raysAt Thomasville Dental Center, we use digital dental x-rays. The digital imaging software allows us to see a number of different views of the tooth to gain a better understanding of the proper course of treatment. Digital x-rays decrease radiation to the patient by over 80%.
- Teeth CleaningRegular dental cleanings are very important to maintain your oral health. Our office recommends routine preventive care every 3-6 months for most patients. This gives us the opportunity to review your home care and perform a complete dental examination to uncover any conditions or problems. With early detection, treatment can be the most conservative and effective.
- Fluoride TreatmentWe provide routine cleanings, xrays and dental checkups for patients ages 3 and older. Preventive care such as dental sealants and fluoride treatments can help protect your child’s teeth from dental cavities. We are always diligent in screening adults for oral cancer and periodontal (gum) disease as part of our dental examination.
- Dental SealantsA dental sealant is a plastic, professionally-applied material that is put on the chewing surfaces of back teeth (premolars and molars) to prevent cavities. Sealants provide a physical barrier so that cavity-causing bacteria cannot invade the pits and fissures on the chewing surfaces of teeth.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeIn the past, composite resins were mainly used forfront teeth, where a silver filling would be noticeable; however, dentists have been steadily moving towards routinely using composite materials for all fillings in both front and back (posterior)teeth. Composite resin materials are available in numerous tooth-colored shades and are more aesthetic and natural appearing than silver fillings.
- VeneersEsthetic dental veneers are a conservative treatment approach to conceal discolored, misshaped, damaged or crooked teeth. A porcelain veneer is a thin facing fabricated by a dental laboratory technician that is adhered to the front of your teeth. The procedure is very comfortable and usually involves removing a small amount of tooth enamel. With proper care, veneers can last for many years. For patients with cosmetic concerns, veneers can be shaped to complement your smile and are available in a number of shades of “white” to design a beautiful, bright smile made just for you.
- CrownsWhen a tooth has been damaged by tooth decay, trauma, or has a broken filling, your dentist may recommend covering and protecting the tooth with a laboratory-fabricated crown.
- BridgesPorcelain ceramics can be used to fabricate custom crowns and bridges. Our dentists will design the structural foundation needed to protect your teeth. We will work with you to arrive at a shade combination that compliments your smile for a natural-looking and beautiful result.
- Dental BondingChanging the appearance of your smile can be accomplished using many approaches. Teeth whitening, composite dental bonding procedures, and esthetic porcelain veneers allow Dr. Sanders and Dr. Chandler to create a beautiful, customized look, just for you.
- Restorative DentistryThe goal of dentistry is to maintain functional teeth in a healthy state, so they can support proper chewing and stabilize your bite. When possible, our dentists will repair a damaged tooth. Restorative dentistry focuses on restoring teeth in the least invasive way possible.
- Root Canal TreatmentWhen the nerve inside of a tooth becomes diseased, a root canal is performed to eliminate or prevent pain and infection. Trauma, cavities or existing dental restorations can result in infection or disease of the nerve. The only alternative to a root canal is extraction of the tooth.
- Deep CleaningEver wonder what happens at an SRP or Deep Cleaning? Check out this video from Thomasville Dental Center. We typically only do one half of the mouth at an appointment. The patient has been numbed before beginning to prevent any discomfort. The procedure takes about 1.5 hours.
- DenturesIf you do not brush and floss daily, particles of food will remain in your mouth, collecting bacteria, which can cause bad breath. Food that collects between the teeth, around the gums or on your tongue can break down, leaving an extremely unpleasant odor. Dentures, not cleaned properly, can also contain odor-causing bacteria and food particles.
- Dental ImplantsIf you are interested in dental implants, our dentists can evaluate your oral health and determine if you are a candidate for implants. Implants are a safe optionto replace missing teeth.
