If i could give this particular franchise a star rating of zero i would. I walked in and there was not a line nor an employee at the point of sale so i patiently waited with a general understanding of how business works and i knew since the employee was not there he was most likely helping someone else which turned out to be the case and i have no problem with that. However once he started talking to me is when my irritation began.

To describe his attitude i would say he was put off in talking to me. I tried to explain to this person the specifics of my situations and in the middle of doing so the telephone rings and what he did next I did not expect any normal human to do he took the call with only an abrupt “hold on” to me plus the hold on finger that mothers give young children who bother them while they are on the phone. I thought next well maybe he is just going to say something like please hold or i am sorry please hold i am the only one on the floor and i am with a customer but no he did not. I was standing there watching this guy talk on the phone for 10 – 15 minutes helping another customer to look up several cars worth of tires. By that time i was very irritated at how rude this employee was to a customers.

However once he got off the phone things went from bad to worse.. I told him the year, make,model, and sub-model of my car. The first thing he does off the bat is try to push the top of the line tires on me which is understandable but he did not ask what i was looking for which happen to be expensive tires but a specific brand and model i was researching and checking local companies over online. Then he quoted me the tire price which blew me away 800 dollars , when other local competitors and another Discount Tire which was close to my college had quoted roughly 580 – 600 dollars. When i asked why the tire price was so high he told me that he HAD to sell the tires with a 4 TPMS rebuild kit which i had not requested on the quote, however even if he did throws those in on top of a taxes and disposal fees it still does not explain the discrepancy. By this point he had printed out a quote page for me, signed it and handed it too me with his card. Once i read the itemized list i found out the tire price he quoted me included a warranty that was not mentioned nor again asked for however that still left about 80 dollars of unexplained cost to the entire quote. .

At this point i thanked the man and left and went home to review all my notes and check my other quotes and i realize the man must have not looked up my car specs in the system as he quoted me a tire that was to big for my car.

After all that i was really irritated for the waste of time plus the rudeness and i planned on calling the store back to speak to the general manager and chew his ear out for the ineptitude of his employee. So i looked at the card and it read Thomas J Fulmer. ASSISTANT MANAGER. Any manager or franchisee owner that promotes a person that can treat a customer so rudely, ignore a customers request for the correct product and pad a sales quote while trying to pass it off as mandatory is either amazingly incompetent himself or deceptive and uncaring about how a customer is treated. Neither situations belong in business so i am writing reviews and voting with my feet and choosing a different store to buy from

I called ahead and asked if the store was busy, I was assured of speedy service. After waitint to be greeted, 7 minutes later, a spanish speakoing couple approached the hispanic loopking salesman and proceeded to describe their situation. The salesman was just about to fulfill their. Requset when I rather loudly stated that I had been waiting for some time and was in fact next in line. Tyhe apparent person in charge said I would be next,I felt this to unacceptable when the first salesman spoke to his customers on spanish asking their permissiopn to wait on me first.

- find this whole situation could have been handled in a more professional manner.
