The Emergency Management Office focuses on emergency management, dispatch operations and security services. The department works to safeguard the life and property of the residents and employees of Hillsborough County, Fla. In addition, it provides support to the Emergency Medical Planning Council and Marine Law Enforcement Citizens Advisory Committee. The Emergency Management Office plans and coordinates response activities and recovery actions for natural and manmade disasters. The department is responsible for dispatching the appropriate fire and rescue units for emergency calls. It also provides security services for facilities owned or operated by government agencies.
