What a great company to deal with! After a terrible experience with Schlier’s Towing in Lehighton, who said they could not (aka would not) help us get the car out of a ditch, Hope’s showed up and said there is ‘NO reason why the first tow truck company could not have helped you’. They showed up quickly on a Sunday night, hooked up the car, and got us out of the ditch easily. Not only did they do their job efficiently, I felt like they went above and beyond. We were going to submit a reimbursement with Triple A, but the guys from Hope’s offered to call it in for us, and they made sure they knew the first company didn’t have one reason why they couldn’t have gotten the job done. After a bad experience, my husband and I went home very happy that night thanks to Hope’s! I wouldn’t hesitate to call them if we needed a tow truck again. They were great!

My car was involved in an accident caused by a drunk driver with no insurance. I was asleep in my bed late at night. I was completely innocent and my car was parked legally in front of my house! This accident happened over the weekend. The police officer never asked me to move my vehicle and it was driveable. There were 4 cars involved at the time and a lot of busy officers on the scene. I was always told never to move my vehicle from the scene of an accident. The officer told me that it was an ongoing investigation and I just thought he meant that he needed all vehicles to be towed to Hopes to be examined later. If I had known, I would've moved my vehicle to the back of my house! They started towing ALL of the vehicles, so I thought it was ok that mine went as well. I found out later that since it happened on a weekend...extra charges. After hours...extra charges. Daily storage...extra charges. It happened on Sunday at 3a and I could ONLY get dispatch later that afternoon and NOT my car. I called Monday and was told by the secretary that I could file AAA for any charges.



When I received the call back, I was put through the rudest call. Let me start by saying that I'm not a "local". I don't understand how things work in Tamaqua. I'm learning. I was simply asking questions as I was completely stressed out! Matt was extremely rude towards me and all I kept hearing was how they've been in business for 33 years. Whooppeee! He put me on speaker phone to have "witnesses" as he said that I was being rude. I was far from being rude! I CAN BE, but I was NOT. I worked in customer service for 5 years and would've been fired for talking to a customer like Matt talked to me! He would NOT allow me to speak. He kept bragging that I was on speaker phone and to keep on talking. He was being a complete @$$. I am completely offended by this company's behavior. I am offended that the officer never gave me any options. I am offended that Hopes took my keys to my car and NEVER discussed charges with me! Lesson? Don't give them your keys until you KNOW you can afford the charges! Since that phone call, I have experienced an anxiety attack in front of my family. Hopes is ONLY in the business of helping themselves! Good luck if you get stuck with Hopes! They'll crush yours!
