The School of Arts & Sciences is an educational institution that conducts a variety of academic learning sessions for students. It is an accredited public charter school that serves more than 200 children in kindergarten through grade eight. Founded in 1999, the institution enrolls students who reside in Leon County, Fla. The School of Arts & Sciences employs a staff of over 35 teachers and paraprofessionals, including an extended day program director, speech and language pathologist, counselor, custodian and office assistant. It conducts classes in various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. The institution offers instruction in music, drama, and arts and crafts. The School of Arts & Sciences provides special education services, as well as publishes newsletters. In addition, it has a parent, teacher and student association that supports several fundraising activities and events. The institution is located in Tallahassee, Fla.
