I have learned more about real life practical self defense in six months with Master Jerry than I did spending 14 years in Tae Kwon Do. The individualized attention, time devoted to cardio and reviewing the fundamentals, and constant encouragement make this school very user-friendly. In fact, I have been so impressed with the format of this curriculum... I have allowed my 6 and 4 year old daughters to begin practicing... and they absolutely love it. Anyone considering trying a self-defense program for the first time should check out Master Jerry's program of study. This program is not for scoring points or winning trophies... this program is for getting in shape, increasing your focus and self-confidence, and preparing you to be proactive in a potential life or death situation. My kids have been going here for over 4 years, the instructors are wonderful, my kids adore them and I love the location. I've read the negative reviews posted here and would like to say I think they are bogus and unfounded... in response to "B&C" we were all very happy that the former instructors left, I felt that they took all the bad energy out of this school.

Me and my little brother have been coming here for years and I honestly don't know what i would do without place. Everyone is so sweet and unlike half of the other fake dojos in this town, the people here actually know what they're doing. You can't get a black belt in 6 months, that's ridiculous. It should take years to earn the right to call yourself a master at a martial art and that's exactly what it takes here.

This is an excellent place to learn self-defense for people of all ages and fitness levels. I have been going here for years and truly do not understand the negative reviews on this page. While it is true that some members left a few years ago to form their own school, to say that the quality is poor or that the school has abandoned the elements of karate is completely absurd. The instructors here are competent, experienced and want to help you succeed. If you are looking to get in shape and want to learn something while doing it, this is the place for you.

My kids love going to class here, it's both challenging and rewarding. Master Jerry is excellent with his students, he asserts discipline with kindness---something all children benefit from, and he does it well. I definitely recommend if your thinking of attending this school.

Nice padded reviews all within a couple of days..!!! The entire teaching staff some of more than 10 years all walked out of this school about two years ago. Most of the blackbelts left with them and since that time this school has disregarded everything karate is about... just to get more and the quality has fallen sharply. Most there now dont know any better.

Master Jerry Ingle sincerely encourages all students and is there every day teaching classes, His assistants are all knowledgable black belts too! There are classes for all ages and levels. Me & my family have been attending for a year and love to go!

I have been affiliated with the Kenpo Karate & Kickboxing Center for 10 years, all the way from white belt through 2nd degree black. Master Ingle is a very dedicated and knowledgeable instructor. Kenpo is a great way to improve your conditioning and self-confidence. It's practical, fun, and I highly recommend it!

Though you have mastered Shaolin Kenpo to the point of receiving "Master" status legitimately and through many years of hard work (25+) plus taught countless numbers of students, many who have their Blackbelts thanks to you; you still know and maintain the values of what martial arts are suppose to endow...that which goes far beyond kicks, punches, and blocks. I appreciate your integrity and patience.

Joining was the best decision I've ever made. Master Jerry knows his stuff, is patient and really cares about his students. I highly recommend this for those who would like to get into shape, meet new people (who are really nice!) and learn incredible stuff! When you earn your belts, its becuase you were taught well, and you know your stuff. They even have a location in Crawfordville taught by Sensei Carmen Williams. This school is a joke!!! I have been to all the schools in town and if this was the only one I wouldn't even bother. It takes more than marks on a belt to make a "Master" this guy isn't even close.

I have found a true Certified Master Instructor at this school. There is a proven lineage that goes directly to Professor Robert Nohelty (one of the Founders/Owners of Masters Self-Defense Centers in Boston, Massachussetts). The classes are fun, informative, and completely comprehensive in the art of self-defense from the ground up. Shaolin Kenpo Blackbelts, that have been living in this area, most likely were trained by Master Ingle...Chief Instructor/Owner. All ranks and blackbelt degrees are fully certified and registered...that's really important as a student. It is a privelage to study and train here because the Blackbelt Instructional Staff, along with the Owner/Chief Instructor, continue to undergo extensive training in defensive techniques to not only better themselves but to better the students. This is exactly the training (and Style) I have spent years looking for in my martial arts journey.

I trained at this school for about a year. There is no question in my mind that this school is the best, all the instructors are helpful, knowledgeful, hands on, and more than happy to help with any problems.

I have trained at this school for about three years and there is no dout from me or any of the other student that the Master is the best around.
