John Ferrara, the only Childbloom trained instructor in CNY, is classically trained/college degreed. His enthusiasm and patience with children is unsurpassed in my experience. I've seen his classical acoustic performance and he is an excellent musician. Ferrara recently also founded the Music School of CNY and offers private classical acoustic, or electric guitar instruction to adults. My 12-year-old son has studied there 4 years for the love of music.The methods and skills he's learned in the small ensemble group are beyond compare; and I know they will stay with him for a lifetime. I made him take piano (my prejudice) but he begged for guitar. The history and traditions of classical guitar are very rich, the music rewarding and beautiful. The Childbloom monthly newsletter for parents understands all of the developmental influences on children on learning music and the tips and articles are very helpful.

I am Dad of above winner. She also placed in the 2006 competition at 14yr.old. Both paid a prize amount for skill, expression, etc. An award recognition/and signed by the owner/President of the Childbloom guitar program. After 1&1/2yrs. of instruction, to work on material "I needed to improve" etc; I was now prepared to bring my music to the Local Clubs for entertainment and completion of my first 3song CD NightLife at a Studio 1/22/06.
