Sun Health is a nonprofit, community-owned network of health care services that provides acute, long-term, residential and home-delivered health care and related services to west Valley communities. Residents of all ages benefit from Sun Health's care that ranges from obstetrics and newborn services to cardiology and orthopedics. Sun Health operates the 343-bed Boswell Memorial Hospital and the 297-bed Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital serving western Maricopa County communities including Avondale, El Mirage, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise, Wickenburg and Youngtown. Complementing these services are the Sun Health Research Institute which investigates diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, an offering of community health and wellness programs and a nursing school to help ensure availability of trained clinical personnel.
