We have been going here for three years. The food is fabulous and the service has always been courteous and prompt. The food is made to order which means it will take some time. This is true of all fine dining establishments. In the true Italian tradition, eating is an experience-not a race. I would and have recommend it to many of our friends and have they never had a negative experience. My favorite dish is Butternut squash ravioli with a creamy blood orange sauce.

Best Italian food since Little Italy, NYC

We were told by an Italian from NYC that this was the best Italian Restaurant since NYC and he was right. We brought two friends with us and we started with the spicy mussels a special that night and their calamari and hot sauce, along with a bottle of Manda Rosso Fiano white wine that was great with the salads also. For dinner I ordered the pork chop over linguini with lemon butter sauce, which was to die for, my wife ordered the chicken marsalla, while one of our friends ordered the Filet Medallions with gorgonzola cream sauce, pine nuts and carmelized onions, and her husband ordered the Penne Bolognese. We shared all the dishes plus a great bottle of chianti. The Bolognese was a classic pasta dish just full of flavor. The waitstaff was great and full of suggestions. They led us thru the dessert menu and we split a Tartufo (ice cream) and a tiramisu both made by the owners wife. All of this is served in a charming 100 year old house that was converted to a restaurant. The background music of Frank Sinatra and friends helped complete a great evening. Had it been warmer, we would have dined on the outside porch.

Small, cramped and claustrapho...

Small, cramped and claustraphobic. The food is tasty but really overpriced. Food portions are average. I had to ask for bread 3 times? Are they tight with that stuff, or what? Service was good. Nice server. There are several Italian restaurants in Summerville, I'll try them all before I return here. But it's possible.

We came in and sat with our family. I watched as a server touched his bare hand to our pizza slice. The food was old and terrible. Service was slow. Please do not waste your time or money!
