After being recommended to use MMFH services my overall experience from beginning to end was very favorable during this time of greef. All my needs were meet, my questions answered and options presented. The presentation of my loved one was very good, the day of the funeral every thing was punctual and handled with professionalism and with all my needs and wants still to be met. Very favorable experience LQG sr.

"One High Standard of Service"

General Info
Harold Marshall, along with his wife Julia and staff have provided the Washington Metropolitan area with "ONE HIGH STANDARD OF SERVICE" since the early sixties. Marshall's Funeral Home is an outgrowth of a dream by Harold and Julia Marshall that became a reality in 1968. Confident that God was with them, they obtained a building at 522 8th Street, S.E., Washington, D.C., for the purpose of providing efficient, dignified and sympathetic funeral service to families of all economic levels and faiths, regardless of race, creed, or color. They chose their motto, "One High Standard of Service." Employees work under the premise that "Service is Friendship in Action." The business grew rapidly and because of its growth and service demands, in 1974 the Marshalls moved to its present D.C. location at 4217 Ninth Street, N.W. Within this facility, one is easily attracted to the beautifully decorated chapel with cathedral windows and gorgeous muraled walls. The air-conditioned chapel seats over 300. Several comfortable and conveniently located counseling, family and state rooms are located on the main level. The lower layer houses a receiving room, two well-equipped casket selection rooms with displays of clothing, urns, memorial markers, and a garage for the modern automotive equipment. The facility is also equipped with a standard elevator which is an excellent convenience to many families. In order to meet the demands to better serve the Washington, Maryland, Virginia area, Marshall's opened a second location in August 1992 known as Marshall's Funeral Home of Maryland, Inc., in Suitland, Maryland. This location features ample parking and unique elegant decor that includes antique furnishings and a homelike atmosphere.
