Fraternal Order of Eagles

My mother was a member of this group and she passed away. She left me a small life insurance policy that she bought through the Eagles, but I am unable to get help from the secretary of this club. Sara asked me to give her a couple days to look it up and I've given her over a week. Now, she doesn't return my call. When I first contacted Sara Mayfield she said, "just because you have a policy, that doesn't mean anything." Then she said to give her a couple days and call back. I had a bad feeling about this interaction from the beginning. I always thought this was a great club and considered going back down there where my mother was a member and joining. This situation is less than friendly and I wonder why these people don't want to honor the policy my mother bought through them.
