I question the ethics of this woman's practice. She said she was covered under our insurance (we should have called a check ourselves) but wasn't. Her billing person told us they knew after the first session that we were not covered but they just didn't tell us. My daughter saw her for 3 months before we received a bill for over $1,000. Meanwhile she claimed she needed to see her twice a week (at $116 per session) so we complied even though we didn't think she did (again, not knowing it was out of pocket). My daughter has anxiety, the only coping mechanism she was giving her was to take deep breaths. I could have told her that! When we talked to her about the billing issue she was completely unwilling to work with us other than being okay with us making monthly payments. We have been sending a check every time we get a bill and what do I notice? They aren't reflecting all our payments. Given that they don't know a received payment and rather just subtract sessions it is hard to tell unless you keep tabs on how much the amount owed is each time a bill comes. There are so many ethical holes in the way this woman practices it is ridiculous. I DO NOT recommend going to her.
