The family of companies assembled under the American Institute organizes cultural exchange programs throughout the world. It also arranges insurance coverage for the organization s participants, as well as for participants of other organizations. American Institute programs teach young people from all over the world to understand each other s qualities, values and differences. Program participants learn language skills as well as the ability to function in different cultures. The American Institute is a privately owned corporation with wholly owned overseas subsidiaries. The organization was founded in 1964. Since its inception, more than one million students and teachers have participated in American Institute programs worldwide.
