General Info
Steven Covici, MD, FACS is an Oculo-Facial Plastic Surgeon which means he limits his specialty to Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Eyelids and Face. He is the Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts Medical Schools Western Campus. Dr. Covici is a fellow of the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves on their Education Committee. Dr. Covici earned his BA from The University of Pennsylvania with honors in 1989 and his MD from Northwestern University in 1993. He then completed a General Surgery Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago. In 1998, he completed his fellowship in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Oculo-Facial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Covici has authored numerous text chapters and scientific articles and is considered a leader in his field.
