The food is not that good, I don't think I wouldn't call it delicious. But comparing to the price, I guess it could be OK...

Not So Good

My family and hospital co-workers enjoy China Star's cuisine. On three occasions, recently, I have ordered Large shrimp egg foo young which is three patties. Each time I received only one pattie. After calling and speaking with the manager, I was asked to come back and be made whole. Oct. 28, 2010, this happened again. My attempts at calling were rewarded with a busy signal until Oct. 30 (please check your call system to verify) Upon speaking with the manager, I was informed that China Star doesn't make such mistakes, and I must have the wrong resturaunt. The Doctors that I came for weren't at all happy with the way this was handled. I ask that you make note of this and help rectify this situation. Thank you

I like it !

As a vegetarian, they work with you on stuff you don't want in your order (no mushrooms, please) and, for as busy as they stay - even into the evening, they are reasonably fast. They're open until 11 pm which is handy for us on 'California' dinner time. Veggies are fresh, there's free hot tea at the water table, the cash register person's never been grouchy or difficult to understand. I say grouchy because at some places, if you vary from the exact menu item, they get difficult. You can see directly into the kitchen and they don't mind subbing - say, water chestnuts for those mushrooms. They have TOFU also. You'd be surprised at how many do not (aka 'bean curd'). Very reasonable; I can order 1 large and 1 small item for about $10. Only gripe is that there were no veggie dishes on the lunch menu special. If enuf ask for it, they might accomodate us. Enjoy !

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I like that in most of the dishes the meat is just stir fried, not breaded and fried. The dishes are chocked full of fresh vegatables. This is a casual, order at the counter and they bring the dish to your table sort of place. For what you are getting the prices are quite cheap.

price vs quantity

We recommend China Star for a quick and inexpensive meal - if you like Chinese food. We can get soup, and a meal apiece for around $10 - and it's almost more than we can eat!!! And, most important - it's really, really good!!!!
