- ArthritisThere is no denying the power of massage. Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management), massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen. Massage has feel-good effects that can translate into striking improvements in medical conditions ranging from asthma to rheumatoid arthritis. Massage can also help alleviate stress, reduce pain, increase blood flow to injured areas, increase general health and enhance your overall sense of well-being. At Youthful Horizons Therapy, we have Massage Therapists on staff who not only work in cooperation with our team of physical, occupational and speech therapists but can also develop an individualized treatment plan for each client's needs.

- Aquatic TherapyAquatic therapy is now recognized as one of the most effective forms of rehabilitation for a variety of physical conditions. Our therapeutic pool utilizes water’s natural warmth, buoyancy, and resistance to create an effective exercise environment. The water’s unique characteristics provide support and comfort while eliminating painful stress on joints and muscles allowing for faster recovery. The water’s natural resistance helps to strengthen muscles and increase the range of motion. The warm, therapeutic temperature helps reduce pain by relaxing tight or spasmed muscles while the hydrostatic pressure helps to reduce the swelling that can occur with arthritis or injury.
