General Info
"The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." Provided by YP.comMy husband and I stopped in here today, and tried the beer. I had the Tidal Wave Pale Ale, and he had the Padre Island Blonde...both were very good. We were treated very well...had a great visit with one of the owners. We also had lunch...their Cheeseburgers are great, very tasty, and adequate size. All in all, a really great experience, and we WILL be back!!! 5 Stars as far as we are concerned!!!

Provided by YP.comUnfortunately last Wednesday I went for the soup, beer was good, my soup & salad ok. My husb got upset stomach after eating the padre hamburguer, my friend had the special fajita plate, the rice and the beans came very very cold, and was like a reg. Mex plate at any cheap rest. Around. Was anybody in charge of the kitchen last Wed??? Service is good lol

Provided by YPmobileWent here during spring break so place was packed and service was very slow but besides that no negative comments. We got the cheese and pickle appetizer which was awesome! The tidal wave wheat beer and pizza were great too! Defenitly recommend.
