We have taken our adopted pets to Pet care for a couple of years. They are caring and efficient and ever mindful of my pocketbook. They are conveniently located and the hours for business could be better. I am so glad they are in South Jordan!!! Highly recommended.

This vet is out for money. The first time I took one of my dogs he said she had a strange bump and would test it. Tested positive for cancer. He said he would have to fully remove it before sending it to the specialist to tell us what kind of cancer. It came back as benign. He told me that just b/c it came back benign it's not uncommon for next time to be malignant. So I was worried when my dog had another bump. He tested it and told me that the cells were all abnormal with spirals and that it was in fact malignant. I had the surgery again to remove the lump. He sent the lump in for lab work and it came back that it was a bump do to TRAUMA. It was not cancer!! My poor dog has been to surgery TWICE b/c this vet is out for money. She was always terrified when we took her there. She's a feisty terrier. That should have been a clue then. He took advantage of us and our poor pet.

We had called almost the entire valley looking for a vet able to help us with our duck’s broken leg. Dr. Matheson was the first vet we came across with any water fowl experience. He came into the hospital around 9:00 pm and was able to x-ray, diagnosis, and cast our ducks foot. He was very knowledgeable and his staff was very informative and sincere. Thanks to Dr. Matheson and his team Pearl (the duck) walks perfectly today!!!!! Thanks and we will continue to bring our other animals to his clinic!!!!!!!!!!

I have a shar pei that I just recieved from my son to care for.Dr.Matheson was our Vet. I was not happy at all with the care andattitude recieved by the staff and Dr.Matheson. They cared nothing about our dog. The prices are so high and they do not give you or your pet any respect. We have now changed vets and are at least listened to and they are working with us to get answers for the problems our shar pei has.

In reading "Mr Undercover Mans" comments it enraged me enough to make my own typos that I clearly should have corrected. I apologize to Petcare Animal Hospital for those typos. My plan share my great experiences with your clinic and write a kind post regarding the care and treatment of my animals as well as my family. THANK YOU! You guys really are the best!

Move on! Clearly this is a reputable business from all the other posts and the same loser person looks to be posting malicious postings. No one is listening Mr. Undercover Man because your post are so creepy and similare from one to another! Same typos, horrible grammer and pretty much an idiot! So a word of advise, go to school, get an education and then open you mouth when you are educated enough to question this business and their practice. You are fool with clearly nothing better to do then to harass this business. You should really stop posting annomously and state who you truly are so I could have the attorney I work for slam you with a slander and harrassment lawsuit! I have used this clinic since they day the doors opened and it is an amazing facility. You are just an evil person trying to destroy a reputable business!

Owning a variety of animals over the years, we've been to several vets and clinics. Dr. Matheson and his staff are personable, friendly, courteous, and exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled. Prices are fair for the high standard of care given. The hospital is clean and attractive. They always know who my pets are and why I'm there. Follow up is thorough and meaningful. We own a local boarding facility: not only do we take our personal animals there, we give our clients referrals to several vets in the area, and PetCare is always at the top of the list. Have had nothing but positive feedback from our mutual clients and will continue to refer to them.

I am very happy with the care my Goldendoodle received. We switched to Dr Matheson & Dr Emch and are extremely happy we did. The detailed care and professionalism with both Dr's and their techs is amazing. Thye treated my dog as if I was in a peoples Dr's office. I have not experienced such awesome pet care. Being involved in animal rescue and having our own furry little family members, we have worked with numerous vets over the years. Without a doubt, Dr Matheson is one of Utah’s finest vets. We highly recommend him and Petcare Animal Hospital.When we moved from Utah County, our previous vet recommended Dr Matheson to continue care of our elderly cat with kidney disease. Dr Matheson & staff provided amazing care to my “little old man” and ensured the quality of life for his last few years. Another diabetic, senior cat was not drinking after surgery. I mentioned that at home, he always liked ice cubes in his water. Over the next days, I would stop and check in on him and he always had ice cubes in his water. That warmed my heart! We had rescued a large dog that had severe ear infections. The scared dog was in so much pain that we were afraid that he would bite during the exam. A lot of clinics would have muzzled or sedated the dog but Dr Matheson was so patient and calm that it wasn’t needed. In other clinics, most lab work has to be sent out but Petcare has the equipment in house. It is nice to not have to wait for lab results and delay treatment. The clinic is professionally run. We appreciate the text reminders for upcoming appointments and the follow up calls to check in our pets. The clinic hours are amazing! How nice is it to be able to take your pet to the vet on Saturday and Sunday?

these people are misguided bunch who do care about animals i will give them that but they will never admit there wrongs. In advance of your remarks im an advocate that goes undercover evaluating certain businesses at random and then leaves comments so they may improve no cruel intentions here. 1. talk with you r custoimers not down to them and 2 simple just be yourselves it seems like your office people try to hard trust me people can tell

While I want to share the exceptional service I received while visiting from out of state (CA) at Petcare Animal Hospital for our dogs. However, in reading 99% percent of excellent comments I was disturbed by several postings that appear to be very malicious and intentional. Before I share my experience I would like to say that in my experience as a physician, I would find it very hard to believe that another vet would talk poorly of a college over a forum, not to mention using all caps and ranting or not using proper punctuation at all. Using all caps is a way to express rage and anger. I believe whomever posted this is indeed not educated and needs to find something better to do that use slanderish comments over a website. It means nothing other than they are angry and ignorant!Thank you for the care that Bear and Moose received while we were on a specialized hunt in Utah. They both encountered a porcupine and were treated at your facility. I was extremely happy to find a facility that was open 7 days a week! This was so helpful in finding treatment for my dogs. They have both recovered nicely. I felt the treatment and costs were very reasonable. I want to thank you for keeping us informed of everything that we may encounter along the way to recovery as well as the costs. We took our dog in for a growth on his leg that kept bleeding. It turned out to be what we were afraid of, cancer. All the staff were very professional and courteous. Dr. Emch was especially good to work with. He removed the tumor the best he could short of amputating the leg. Since our dog was very old, we didn't feel that amputation was a good option. Unfortunately the cancer had already spread to other parts of his body; the other reason we didn't feel amputation was the best option. However, due to the expertise and care of Dr. Emch and the staff, we were able to enjoy almost another full year with Max, our dearest friend.

Absolutely wouldn't take my pets anywhere else! Dr. Matheson has been my vet for over 6-yrs now. When my pet was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor growing in her chest cavity I remember Dr. Matheson saying to me "its your decision, but I know I can help her." The surgery was a success and gave me time to spend with my baby girl. In the end, when faced with the sad reality of having to put my pet down, I will never forget how kind and supportive Dr. Matheson and his entire staff were. These are the type of caring people that you want on your side when the going gets tough. But more importantly these are the types o people you want on your side when things are going well. Me and my new puppy SOPHIE thank everyone at Petcare Animal Hospital for their outstanding care!!!

I would highly, highly recommend taking your animals to Petcare in South Jordan Utah. The staff are amazing and wonderful people. Dr. Matheson is a fantastic doctor who really understands and cares about what he is doing. I am so grateful for the care they have offered my dogs. My dog Charlie just lights up when he walks in the doors for a visit or to spend a few days being boarded! I am so happy to have such a great place so close to where I live. Dr. Emch is by far the most kind and patient vet that I have ever been to. You can always tell that he knows what he is talking about and really cares about my cat. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good vet.

I have been taking both of my dogs here for years. They are always very professional and caring providers. When my older dog needed to be put down, they even traveled to my house so that we could do it in a comfortable setting. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else! I love the doctors and the staff!

I was referred to Petcare Animal Hospital by a co worker for our dog, Maynard. We had taken him to several other vets for a diagnosis and were not comfortable with their facility or their professionalism. We were told we would have to put him down, but we weren't ready and neither was Maynard. We scheduled an appointment with Petcare and we met with Dr. Matheson. He was very caring, understanding and could tell how difficult it had been for us trying to search treatment for our dog. He diagnosed him, it was treated through surgery and Maynard has recovered fully at 11 years old. I had a wonderful experiece here! The staff followed up with daily calls to check on him during his recovery. He is back to his normal self. Maynard was always so calm there I believe because it didn't smell like most vets and they were so gentle with him. I am a big believer in that you pay for what you get! Go somewhere cheap and that is the service and diagnosis you get! Thank you Dr. Matheson and staff! We will be sending all of our animal loving friends over!

I have been taking my animals to Petcare since they opened. I am so impressed by the knowledge that both Dr. Mathison and Dr. Emch have. They are up on the latest technology and have a state of the art clinic. They have always been through in the exams on my pets. They are always willing to take the time to explain the diagnosis and give me options as to treatment. I am very pleased with the service I have received and I have referred a number of people to their clinic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who truly cares about their pets.
