Cunis Candies opened its doors in 1933 on 79th Street in Chicago (between Kingston and Colfax). The original owner, Uncle George Askounis, owned the business until his death, at which time his niece, Terese Kubiak, took over the family business. Now, Kathy Biesiada owns the store, which has been located in South Holland, IL since 1971.
