These guys know what they are doing. The best tree cutting service in the area. I had a Wheeping Willow next to the septic system which needed removed. I talked to Keith and he came out and give me a reasonable estimate and three days later the tree was gone and stump removed. I highly recommend (CATS).

I had a tree in my backyard that didn't come out this year. After Calling Charleston Area Tree Service we set up a date and one of their crews came out and took it down and cleaned it up very quickly. The only reason you can tell there was a tree there is the stump left behind, and you can even get them to get rid of the stump, but I chose to leave it. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and I will be calling them if I need another tree cut.

After going through several individuals and businesses to get estimates, we chose CATS, and so very glad we did. We needed 2 very old, massive trees taken down and Keith came in with the most reasonable price. He took his time with me explaining what type of equipment would be used and how it would be done. We were scheduled 4/15 and his crew was here early in the morning and finished around 2:00 p.m. I just can't say enough about this company. These trees were situated in a very dangerous place, towering over two homes. His crew did a magnificant job. They performed in a very precise and methodical manner. Frankly to me, to watch this process was incredible. I would most definitely use this company in the future and would refer them to anyone who needs some trees taken down. Extremely professional.

Charleston Area Tree Service (CATS) is an excellent tree service provider and their work exceeded my expectations. Their goal was to ensure I got what I wanted and the guys working were exceptional. They worked together so good and so hard. They are very knowledgeable of trees and shrubs and can give you some excellent advice.



They removed a row of overgrown Hemlocks and also trimmed some larger trees in my yard. Their skills were top notch. They tackled every problem with expertise and would react to situations as needed to ensure the safety of themselves and my property. They did a superb job of ensuring the entire site was clean when the job was finished. They have a wide range of equipment to get the job done.

Charleston Area Tree Service did a great job at my house taking out two large oak trees. I called Wednesday afternoon, Keith stopped by Thursday evening, and the trees were removed the following Tuesday. Everything was professionally done and the crew left only a minor (and expected) sawdust mess. All branches and leaves were cleared out and our back yard was left largely undisturbed. I'll have them back in the future for any tree-related projects.

CATS came in today 1/25/2012 and trimmed and shaped all of the pears and ornamental trees on my property and did a fantastic job! They even cleaned up, not just a little but, every single branch and twig-there was nothing left. I was extremely impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone. If you need to have a tree trimmed, shaped, cut down, whatever, give them a call and they will take care of you.

We had a HUGE black oak tree cut down, cut up and hauled away yesterday. The crew did an excellent job from start to finish. My husband was not only impressed but amazed watching the tree climber walking around the tree, roping it, then cutting limbs.The crew was very organized, professional, and did a great job cleaning up, too. I would refer CATS to everyone. This company has exceeded mine and my husband's expectations. We originally hired them to cut some trees down on our property, they did such a good job getting out there and getting the job done fast and cleaning up, we ended up hiring them to do some dozer work , and even some demo work for us.......we were sooo pleased and they were too. Our only regrets were that we didnt take before and after pictures of all the work that was done because it looks so much better than before......Thank you CATS and we will call you for any future needs we may have.

I live more than 350 miles away from my mother’s house in Charleston and needed several storm damaged trees removed from her property. Needless to say, except for the internet, I was totally in the dark when it came to finding a reliable service. I researched every reviewed tree business in the Charleston area, including the BBB, and found Charleston Area Tree Service (CATS) to be the BEST one reviewed.



After the CATS owner quickly responded to my initial voice mail message with his assessment of the two trees, I had a strong sense that he was very sincere. His cost estimate was very reasonable cost and he took the time to answer all my questions. In addition to the two storm damaged trees that I wanted removed, he explained to me that two other small trees nearby were beginning to show stress damage and would need to be removed in the near future. He clearly explained their condition, which was later confirmed by one of my mother’s neighbors who watches her house for me and had alerted me to the two storm damaged trees. The owner explained that he could take them out with the other two storm damaged trees at no addition cost, but he would need to charge me if he had to come back in the future to remove them. He didn’t try to press me to remove the two nearby trees, but needless to say, I had him remove all four trees which were taken down the same day. The owner called me from the work site as the final cleanup was underway to let me know the job was finished and everything went fine. A few minuted later my mother’s neighbor called me to let me know that they had done a very profession job removing the trees and cleaning up the work area.



I cannot thank the owner enough for his patience in keeping me fully informed before and after the work was completed. I was very impressed with his professionalism and feel very relieved that I had found an honest, well-run and reliable business. My only regret is that his company does not service my area in Virginia. I would highly recommend CATS to anyone needing their services. THANKS AGAIN FOR A JOB VERY WELL DONE.

This company is so above and beyond all the rest.They are very very affordable,very friendly,very fast and did an excellent job.All other companies in the area quoted at least $800 to cut down a tree in our yard.They only charged $318 with tax!!Great,great,great company.I would recomend them to anyone

I made a mistake by using Greg's tree service all they did was make a mess. called cats they came right out fixed the mess and were very clean and professional & very fair about the price I will be calling them again.

It was a pleasure to do busness with a company like this.Everything was perfect and went smoothly.I had a large pin oak topped and trimmed.They did a superb job.After several quotes I am glad I chose this tree service,CATS.They did a nice cleanup after the trim.

I had 16 trees shaped up and trimmed, also 4 shrubs, and repair of an evergreen done. I called Charleston Area Tree Service (CATS) to come out and give me an estimate. I felt as if the owner knew trees and would not do any harm, which is very important to me. He brought out a crew and they stayed all day, working on the coldest day of the season so far. My yard was left clean and free of debris. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend this business. The owner is very professional and knowlegeable. I plan to have them come back by spring to mulch.
