I think Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services is a great organization. I volunteered in the Money Management Program and helped out one year delivering meals at Thanksgiving. The experience is so rewarding. You can see that you are making a difference in this persons life by helping them and giving your time to keep them living on their own. At the same time, I could also see the benefits that I was receiving from helping this client. It is very touching experience. I is amazing that a wonderful connection and trust can build between two people that never knew each other. If you know anyone who is a senior or disabled in the Somerville/Cambridge area that needs assistance, please encourage them to contact this great organization. They have many services and volunteer opportunities that make a difference in someone's life. If you have time, I encourage anyone to volunteer. You will love it and you are truly helping someone have a better life.
