One fine day I had a curry craving that I was ready and willing to fulfill. Around 4:15 P.M. I stopped at India Palace. Unfortunatly, the doors were locked. I looked at the sign to see that they did not re-open until 5:00. Determined, I waited outside until the doors opened again. Service was fine. I recieved my Chicken Madras. Looked great, smelled great. One bite and sugar we're going down, swinging. I forgot what my Indian friend told me back in New Orleans. "They put sugar in your food if you're American." Boy, did they. I was devastated. I figured "What's the point?" So, in an attempt to dicipline myself I poured that sweet brown sauce they give you with the poppadom all over my curry. When the waitress asked if I liked it I said that it was too sweet. She said "Oh, you like it spicy?" YES, that's why I'm here! What a waste. ($13) Just because it works with Chinese food, (bleh) please don't get any bad ideas. No sugar for this American, at least not in curries!
