- Family PracticePresently, most major insurance companies cover Chiropractic care and we are considered primary health care providers. There is a push by certain powers to nudge us out of national health care. If this was to happen, I would survive because of a strong family practice, customary fees, and patients who value my care. Many will not survive and I feel for the new doctors coming out of school. But the ones who suffer the biggest loss are the patients who pay their premiums but lose their freedom of choice. I do believe we need reform with skyrocketing health care costs, increasing premiums, pre-existing conditions, etc. I feel too, for the physicians and their skyrocketing malpractice premiums. There are no easy answers, but anyone who has dealt with Medicare knows that a government run health care system is not the answer. People must take charge, become an informed consumer and let your voice be heard. Now is the time.
- Emergency Care"For years I had severe to moderate headaches. About five moderate headaches a week and one severe headache every other week... so severe that often times caused vomiting and an occasional trip to the emergency room. Doctors prescribed many drugs but did not eliminate the problem. Also, I feared the amount of drugs I was taking.
- NeurologyThe Chiropractic Neurologist chooses to focus his/her practice on neurologically based problems. Typically, a Doctor of Chiropractic who specializes in neurology serves in the same consulting manner as a medical neurologist. The difference is that the type of care or applications of a Chiropractic Neurologist do not include drugs or surgery.
- Stress ManagementStress management is part of what may become the most important health care revolution of the century. People want to do more than just "cope" with over-whelming, ever-mounting stress. They are seeking new and effective ways of taking control of their lives, preventing disease and enhancing their health.

- Computed Tomography"On October 23, 1999, I had a fall of twenty feet from a deer stand, landing flat on my back. I was numb from my waist down, and in severe pain from my neck to my waist. I had life flight from Newton County Hospital to Shepard's Spinal center. After a CT scan, it was determined that I had a spinal injury at T11 and T12. Surgery was performed at Shepard's Spinal Center, inserting fourteen-inch rods to stabilize my spine. I spent sixty-eight days in the hospital and six long months of rehabilitation at Shepard's and at home.
- Orthopedics
- Whiplash"I was in two car accidents about twenty-three years ago and suffered severe whiplash in my neck from both crashes. I was encouraged to have neck surgery after both accidents but declined.
- LesionsThat is to say, conditions in which ablative or physiological lesions are not apparent. Medical neurologists may choose to refer to a Chiropractic Neurologist when the diagnostics are inconclusive and/or the latest medications are not producing the desired symptomatic relief.
- Sports MedicinePost graduate studies have been in physiological therapeutics, sports injuries, x-ray evaluation, and back injury prevention. Dr. Scott has completed a three year post doctorate program in Chiropractic Neurology and is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist.
- Physical Therapy"I had muscle ache and pain in the neck and back for years. It was difficult to drive and perform my daily real estate duties. I tried physical therapy and medical doctors. They recommended I have surgery and cortisone injections, but I refused.
