- Dental ExaminationAfter x-rays, the first oral exam begins and the findings are recorded into our state-of-the-art computer software.
- X-raysThe second part of the radiographs are called bite wing x-rays and are used to look for cavities between your teeth. Of course, we use digital radiography at Webster Dental Care for these films to insure that you are receiving the best quality x-ray with less than one-third of the radiation of older x-ray machines.

- Dental SealantsWhen a child’s first permanent molars erupt, usually at age 6, consider protecting them with dental sealants. A sealant is a thin plastic coating applied by your dentist to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. By filling in the teeth’s grooves, sealants create a barrier against food and bacteria that cause decay. They are nearly 100% effective in preventing decay in back teeth.
- Fillings
- VeneersCertain procedures such as new fillings, crowns, veneers or bridgework will often exhibit temperature sensitivity for several weeks. This is due to the fact that the tooth structure was removed and replaced by a foreign material that does not conduct temperature at the same rate as normal tooth structure. Also, since every tooth has a nerve in the hollow inside part of the tooth, as the tooth is drilled, the body recognizes this as an injury and will call an immune response. This sensitivity will normally get better with time and ibuprofen is the pain pill of choice. Desensitizing toothpaste will also help.
- CrownsPlaque and tartar are scraped off the tooth’s crown and roots. Scaling is usually performed with root planing.

- Root Canal TreatmentThis topic of dentistry refers to infection into the hollow, central part of the tooth and the nerve and blood supply going to the tooth. The required treatment for this type of infection is known as a root canal, and for some reason, is one of the dreaded topics in dentistry. Our Endodontist will prove to you that root canals do not need to cause pain and can be done relatively fast, usually in two visits. Root canals are generally needed for the following reasons...

- DenturesDental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that replace dentures or partials and replace missing teeth. A titanium implant is permanently attached to your jaw and a prosthetic tooth (crown) is attached to the implant. Implants require one or two outpatient or office surgeries and take from three to nine months to complete. Our team of experienced dental professionals will be sure to care for your dental implants in the best manner possible.
- Dental ImplantsSeveral implants may be placed in areas where more than one tooth is missing. The surgery to place the implant is done right here at Webster Dental Care and takes less than an hour to place an implant. The procedure is relatively painless and more people return to work the next day.
- Oral SurgeryMy son had oral surgery and he was particularly loud and active when he came out of the anesthesia. The team at Webster was incredibly professional, helpful, and respectful. I am so grateful that they took such good care of him.
- Flap SurgeryThe gum is lifted from the tooth and bone so infection can be removed. The infected bone may else be reshaped.
- Gum SurgeryAll too often the Periodontist is associated with gum surgery. Years ago, if infection destroyed the bone it meant that you would lose the tooth or the surgery would result in bone removal making the teeth look longer in the mouth. In addition to gingival grafts, Dr. Beard is now able to use either synthetic or freeze dried bone to correct many boney defects, eliminating long periodontal surgeries.
