When we moved in the house was dirty and the bathrooms stunk of urine.During our stay we have had several problems with items getting fixed. We have been without a proper fridge and stove for over 5 months. They replaced the microwave which only took three months of constant emailsFunny thing is we have been asked to move out due to our "complaints". I guess asking for a roof that doesn't leak and appliances that work would be considered a hassle to them.Their handyman even admitted to me that they do not like fixing things. Plus their fixes are usually crappy.To sum it up MacPhersons is not the right choice for you they do not care about the tenants only getting the rent. Stay away!

We were new to the Seattle area looking for a professional agency to rent from. Primarily looking to stay away from the average, and find something with more background flair. This company was one of the biggest mistakes we could've made. Here's a quick list if you are looking to rent or have your home managed by this company.First, he home we looked at still had the previous renter's garbage, and belongings in the home. The previous renters just left some of their items and MacPherson must've thought we'd like them because they never disposed of them. We actually had to pay to have it hauled off or given to Good Will. Second, the carpets were never cleaned or the walls repainted. Both were done by us, at our expense. They told us that it was not a reimbursable cost. Third, for as long as we stayed in the home, my calls to the company were either dismissed, or sent to someone's voice mail with never a return. Four and final, this company never follows up, never checked on us, nothing!

If I were to give no star I will surely do so! I wish I have read those reviews from Yelp before signing my contract. Once we signed the contract everything changed. They sent a professional lady to clean up the house and they came without prior notice!! Ended up our staff got threw away. The cleaning fee was way higher. The agent said she lost our number couple times. The renters are not who they said they are, and we later found out more ppl moved in (from 3 approved tenants to 5 or 6 unknown family member). Indeed MacPherson didn't inform us on this matter until we found out from our neighbors. Our agent never got back to us on why and how does that work. Later on she hands our account to her manager Cherie . Very promising at the beginning but worst at end. We asked about the renters' issue and requested they speak to the renters, she agreed but then she disappeared for a while! Monthly statement are not provided every month, you have to request for one.

It has been two months since I last hear from their manager Cherie. Right after I posted my poor review on Yelp and Dexknows, she got back to me within 24 hours, without any explanation on why I do not hear from her on a timely manner, she simply informed me that she will perform a April month end inspection. It was April 9th when she emailed me. I waited almost 3 weeks for the inspection result, but nothing, no calls no emails. I emailed her couple times (while I was out of country), still no response. It was ridiculous that I couldn't even leave her a voice message because it's full. Are they out of business? No, management fee still being drawn on the set date. They just collects your fees and let you hang there. I will say unless you live next to their office and don't mind going in there every day, otherwise, stay away from this company.

One star is more generous than I'd like to be, but there's no option for ZERO STARS. What a disappointment. We hired MacPherson's to manage our home while we were out of the country. After two years, we returned to find the inside of our home filthy and the outside yard looking as if the Munsters lived here. There were several items broen and damaged. We wanted to use some of the security deposit to cover the required cleaning and repairs, but got nowhere with MacPhersons. When we escalated our concerns to Cherie, the "manager" of the Bellevue office, her first response was real concern. That concern was fleeting as she soon provided a number of excuses about why she didn't return emails or calls - my birthday, my asthma, my mother visited from out of town..blah blah blah. When we think about the MONEY we paid them for the poor job they've done, we want to SCREAM. Save yourself some grief. This crew is lazy, unresponsive and unprofessional.

Ended up our staff got threw away and had to travel from Bothell to Northup to pick up our belongings. The amount wasn't what she said it would be, it was way higher. She mistook us as the other clients, told us the tenants no longer interested at our house, and couple times she did say she lost our number. After the tenants moved in, the whole rental thing become a disaster!! The renters are not who they said they are, yet we are told there would be more people living at the house!! MacPherson's is a mature management co, with advise on home improvements that go beyond collecting the rent. They are fair and know how to deal with tenants on you behalf. The have managed for us for over 25 years and every time we thought we could do it ourselves, we have had to ask them to step in and take over.

Very happy with their competent service of leasing out my home for three years. Excellent accounting and reporting, fair prices on repairs, and overall very pleased.
