      The Coulthard family first started Eastland Feed and Grain Inc in 1990. A small mill then, Eastland Feed and Grain has had several major expansions since 1990. The first expansion in the spring of 1990 brought in two soybean extruders, bulk bins for storage, and a new grinder for corn and oats among many other additions to the mill. We have continued to grow with additional equipment added annually. In 2005 a major expansion was undertaken that effectvely doubled the size of the mill. The newly expanded mill is fully automated and has over 200 ingredients to choose from. Our in house equipment enables a lower cost and more efficient way to make feed, giving you a lower cost in the end. With an extra receiving lane, it has allowed for more efficient load-out and receiving capabilities. Four mixers plus plenty of bulk ingredient bins means a lower cost and better quality feed for our customers. Our expanded mill allows for more choices in formulating diets for your livestock's needs. With technical support, feed testing and ration balancing for all species, we will help you get the most efficiency out of your livestock. Want to contract your feed for the year? Check out our contracting programs! As the feed business expanded, the grain business naturally expanded with it. With a best market locator program we can fulfill all your needs. With over 70 years of combined experience at Eastland Feed and Grain in Shannon and Chadwick, we are your one stop shop for marketing. Contracting options range from hedging on the Chicago Board of Trade and forward pricing to cash grain markets. We will move your grain to the best markets based on the basis, freight rates, quality concerns and specialty premiums. In 2009 Phase I of Lost River Rail and Barge was built laying the groundwork for a mulityear build that will eventually give Eastland Feed 2 million bushel capacity in Shannon, IL. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you with any of your needs, from ordering feed, billing, contracting and so much more.
