      Founded in 1959, St. John the Evangelist School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a Catholic, coeducational, parochial school for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school supports a range of extracurricular programs in art, music, and computer and physical education. In addition, St. John the Evangelist School conducts foreign language programs in Spanish. It also supports a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, soccer, hockey, cheerleading, and track and field. The school operates several student organizations, including a safety patrol, band, choir, and book, environmental and chess clubs. St. John the Evangelist School is located in Severna Park, Md.
