Provided by YP.comWe had a horrible experience at Grace and Heart Obgyn. We ended up changing doctors at 36 weeks pregnant. To begin with we requested not to know our babies gender, and repeatedly asked them to keep that a secret. So at 36 weeks the greatest surprise of my life was revealed to me. But this is minor compared to the incompetence we experienced medically. I had mentioned the symptoms for low iron at several appointments before finally being tested . We discovered I had low iron and was given a supplement. But we were never tested again to see if it had improved . Having low iron for an extended period of time is super dangerous for the fetus and can cause preterm labor or maternal mortality. I also have a fibroid tumor. We went to a high risk doctor. My file at Grace and Heart has the tumor much larger and in the completely wrong place. Repeatedly this office did not listen or check the file. They had my due date incorrect (this was confirmed by my level 2 ultra sound and my own personal calendar of events ), they didn’t listen about the low iron symptoms, and they kept asking about my IVF (which we didn’t have). After leaving for another practice I received a $336 bill in the mail from labcorp where they had ordered a drug test. So I paid $336 to confirm I’m not on drugs . Surprise I already knew this. They also ordered multiple unnecessary repeat tests. How many times do they need to confirm I am still HIV negative? Also, I did my non stress test there and the machine was malfunctioning . The fetal heart beat wasn’t showing up throughout the test. Finally, we requested my records be sent to the high risk doctor , and the high risk doctor requested the records multiple times before my appointment. The morning of the appointment she still didn’t have my records . The best part about this experience was when we changed doctors.
