The Scituate Fire Department provides firefighting and prevention and emergency medical services. It operates a community emergency response team that provides training sessions in disaster preparedness and fire safety. The Scituate Fire Department offers home fire prevention and safety tips, as well as enforces fire regulations and provides burning permits.
