I have used Chris Hunt for tree removal on 2 separate occasions. The first time was excellent. The second time fell short in terms of promises and execution. His pricing was very fair, perhaps in his mind, too fair, for after being paid in full for the job, (yeah, I know, my mistake) the final promise of coming back to get 2-3 more dead limbs (which he had pointed out in the first place) never happened. And after many attempts at reaching Chris on his cell, I have given up. He just sends me to voice mail. The foundation of an excellent service is there, but the devil is in the details, and that's what can make or break you. I would like to have the work completed, but I am afraid that is just a dream.

In Sept 2013 Mr. Hunt bid and I accepted an offer to remove a dead pine tree on Tybee. It was implied the work would be done in a day or two. Sent A CHECK. Never did the work or return the money. NEVER PAY UNTIL JOB IS COMPLETE. April 2014

We had a great experience working with Hunt Tree Service. Their prices were not the cheapest but after watching them remove the tree from over my house every dime is well worth what you pay them. It was just as cool to see the big robot stump grinder transform to a small stump grinder to come through our 36inch gate! My son really enjoyed watching the machine. Thank you for safely removing the tree from over our house. We wont hesitate to call them again.

Very good job! They took down two pines over our house and the neighbors with lots of lower vegetation that could have been ruined. We live in the Landings on Skidaway Island. We have told the TLA how professional this company is, maybe you will get another customer that can enjoy the experience we did. Great job!

this company was referred to me and, I secured a fair prices for one tree to be removed aand the stump ground down. well, the tree was removed ( nicely, by the way) and not living at the house, I was told the job was complete, arriving several weeks later to find a very large stump still in place. After repeated calls and excuses similar to ones given to others as I see from the ratings(broken stump grinder; needs parts, too rainy to get to the house, etc), and now after many many months without reurn call, this review is the first in a series of steps I will take to get my money back and ensure others are not treated with the poor service by Hunts. It's too bad one has to consider small claims court for such a minor issue, but principal is at stake. Perhaps a few days here and there away from business due to court time will make this company owner rethink how (pre) paying customers shuld be treated.

When the guy's from Hunt came to my house to look at the tree, they gave me a good price and seemed like a good choice. I decided to use them and I could not have been more wrong. They were hours late, went to the wrong house, didn't finish the job that day. They never came back to finish the job or get in touch with me to let me know I would have to wait because the tool they needed was being fixed. Two weeks after the job should have been done I get someone on the phone and set a time for them to come finish the job. Not only did no one show up to dinish the job but no one even got in touch with me to let me know what was going on. I spent the entire day waiting for them to come do something that should have been done weeks ago. I only wish I had known this about them before I gave the number to a friend. They did not deserve the recomentation. I am very dissapointed and upset. I guess you really do get what you pay for!
