Sauk Prairie Middle School provides higher learning opportunities and academic education to students in grades six through eight. The school, located in Sauk City, Wis., enrolls more than 650 students. The school s curriculum includes English, language arts, mathematics, history, foreign languages, science and social studies. It also provides courses in agriculture, arts, computer applications, and family and consumer science. Sauk Prairie Middle School has a library that provides curriculum books, encyclopedias, Merriam-Webster dictionary, national geographic atlas, history and culture guides. It also offers computer workstations, audiovisual aids and access to the Internet. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance, drama, band, chorus, intramurals games and field trips. The middle school emphasizes on vocabulary building, creative writing and communication skills. It also provides various sports activities, such as football, basketball and baseball, and offers physical and special education. The school is a part of the Sauk Prairie School District.
