Gary's Auto Repair was amazing. They have such a great staff! I was having a very bad day, I had just lost my job that I had been at for over 5 years and then on top of that my car decided to break down. I didn't know where to go, I have never taken my car to a mechanic other than to have my oil changed or new tires put on. I did not want to be taken advantage of or charged too much, I just lost my job and was going to need to conserve my savings. I called around a few different places and they said it was going to be anywhere from $150-$300 just to test and diagnose what was wrong. I did not have that kind of money. Then I called a friend of mine who recommended Gary's auto repair. I called and spoke to a lovely woman Gary's wife Marie. She assured me that Gary would text and diagnose my car and give me an estimate for free. She also gave me the name of a cheap towing service so I could get my car there. I finally got there and met Gary and his assistant Shane, they were such nice, caring people. After about 30 minutes Gary had figured out what was wrong and gave me a great estimate, very affordable. I'm happy to say I am back in the road again thanks to the wonderful people at Gary's auto repair!! I will never go to another mechanic and would recommend him to all my family and friends!

Gotta give Gary kudo's! Not only does he fix my vehicles quickly and affordably, he takes the time to explain what needs to be done in a way that I can understand.He even took the time to show me how my window regulators work. I am thrilled to have found a car doctor for my two geriatric vehicles.

Honest, dependable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. My truck had a serious problem with oil and transmission leaks so I took it to Gary's Auto Repair.. I was very happy with the service, speed and professionalism that the repairs were completed. Gary is an excellent mechanic who will always give you the straight scoop.. he will never try to sell you up but will give you a run down on what has to be done; and what you will need to have done in the future, so if you are watching your budget (which most of us are) so you can make a wallet friendly plan. The shop is easy to find in Sawyer Business Park right off of Bee Ridge Rd and the mechanic is a Certified ASE Master Automobile Technician with over 30 years of experience with all domestic & foreign vehicles.

Gary's Auto Repair saved the day! I am a young mother of three and money is tight, I was having issues with my car's A/C. It was unbearable driving in this Florida heat and I needed my A/C fixed. I went to several places and they all gave me estimates out of my reach and some treated me as if I was young and a woman and therefore stupid. Gary's Auto Repair did free diagnostics for me and were able to fix my A/C for a reasonable price. They have given me a list of some other things I need to take care of as soon as I can and when I can...they are exactly where I will take my car! M. Lanterman
