FIrst red flag was thier website main page says "we can cure your rheumatic disease? B.S. We all know there is no "cure" for rheumatic illness only management of the disease.Second red flag botched appt, couldn't reschedule for 5 weeks even though thier error.Received call to rush there in 30 minutes to fill a cancellation, then was kept waiting over an hour. Admins are nice but obviously overworked if the intake nurse also answers phones and handles appointments. Also doesn't have centralized system between thier glut of offices, so that if your physician is in a different office, they don't have access to your records. Cough up some of those profits and get your back office systems operating efficiently!Third red flag, had no physical exam before clinical trials and expensive TNF's were suggested. I have never had a $275 rhuemy consult where the doctor never laid a hand on me and I had to prompt showing my range of motion. This practice is GREED centric not PATIENT centric. I will return to a doctor that takes my individual case, budget and needs into account instead of one that forces protocol or denies treatment.Should have listened to my gut and steered clear of this one.If you are early in your disease and have deep pockets, these are board certified physicians and perhaps you will have a more pleasant experience.

It took me 6-7 wks to get a appointment. A week before my first appointment, I was called to tell me my appointment was moved to half hour later and to remind me to print out the paperwork needed for the appointment. Two days before my appointment, I received a call reminding me of my upcoming appointment. The next day the morning before my appointment, I received another call telling me they ran my insurance and there was a problem. Saying my insurance was on a 2-3 month grace period and the had to cancel my appointment. I couldn't understand why this was, it wasn't like I was behind on my insurance payments. I asked how could they bring this up the morning before my scheduled appointment. I couldn't understand when they had called me 2x within the past week and never said anything. I was told they couldn't run my insurance any earlier because "things can change ". I had to beg them to not cancel my appointment since I had to wait so long for it and to let me call my insurance company to see what's going on. I was told they could only hold the appointment for a lcouple of hours". I immediately called my insurance company and they said I was caught up on my payments and that I wasn't on any grace period. I explained the situation to my insurance company and they immediately faxed over a letter saying that my insurance was active. I called back the drs office and informed them to look out for a fax. Later in the afternoon the drs office had called me back saying that they received the letter but it was "the same thing they saw when they looked it up". I was told that this person had brought this to the office manager to make an exception and was told "no, they couldn't do that". The drs office suggested I call my insurance company again and talk to them. Well next morning, I did just that and the insurance company assured me that everything was fine on their end and said "the letter we faxed over, we don't release that letter if a customer is behind on payments. Call your drs office back and tell them to look it up again". Well I called the drs office again and left a message saying what I was just told from my insurance company. The next day I get a call back from the drs office telling me they ran the insurance through again and this time "everything went through just fine". But now they couldn't reschedule me another appointment because they were going over all my paperwork and realized that they never received my records from my Primary Dr. and that they couldn't schedule a appointment until they had those so they can go "over it with a dr to see where they can fit me in". Well, it was Friday afternoon when I got that call, so I told them my primary dr was closed and that I'd have to call them Monday morning. Now it's Monday and first thing I did this morning was call my primary and told them what Sarasota Arthritis Center was requesting. They told me they would fax it over immediately. Later in the morning I get a phone call from the office Sarasota Arthritis Center telling me that they received the fax from my primary and they unfortunately they could not see me because there "wasn't enough notes in my record and that the dr felt that he could not help me and suggest I see a different dr". WHAT!!!!I asked "you have so many drs in your two offices, could you please ask another dr in the firm?" I was told "no because she had asked the head dr and it's what he said and she couldn't go over him". I then told her that I couldn't understand any of this. One week prior you called me and there was no problems. The week of the appointment you called me twice. You ran the insurance and see that everything was fine. Yes, you received my records from my primary dr and maybe there wasn't enough information on the notes. Then why don't you (Dr) or your staff call my primary and talk to them to get more of what you need. I did call my primary back and told them what was said about the notes and how the

My doctor is Dr. Ronald Weitzner, he is the best !!! He talks with me like a friend and not just his patient. I also see Dr. Ikeman sometimes too. He also is very good with giving me my shots with Ultrasound. Makes me feel sooo much better. I feel like they both really care and I know they do. They are the best.

Dr Drucker is a very caring and knowledgable doctor. He tells it like it is, and lets you know what you need to know.I went to a Doctor before who laughed when I told him what bothered me. Dr Drucker would never do something like that, He is the BEST!
