      General Info
      Dr. William Jones was born and raised in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in 1961. He spent two years in the Air Force (1962-1964) and stayed in Vietnam during his final year. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX (1964-1968). He started his solo orthopedic surgery practice in Santa Fe in 1968 and was President of the medical staff when Christus St. Vincent Hospital moved to its present location. Additionally, he was one of three general partners that built the Imaging Center here in Santa Fe. In 1980, Dr. Jones joined the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and established the first knee arthroscopy program for the US armed forces in Europe. He has been chief of orthopedic surgery on and off for thirty years. He discontinued surgery 20 years ago to do non-surgical orthopedic care.Dr. Jones has recently joined the IMS team and loves continuing caring for patients.
