A few things that have happened over the past year, just with my apartment:



-Car has been hit in gated parking area more than once

-Neighbors noisy/walls are paper thin. Called security to talk to neighbors, he doesn't speak/understand english very well and hangs up on you. Have had to call police several times.

-Lived with RATS for 3 weeks before office would call exterminator. Office then refused to pick up dead rats in my home. Had maggots and flies in my apartment, had to remove it myself. (Rats were result of substandard living conditions.)

-People constantly coming to my door to sell me things. Don't bother asking them to leave you alone for good; they'll just be back tomorrow.

-Laundry facilities inadequate for amount of people living here. 9 operational washers and dryers for 300+ apartments. No washer/dryer hookups in units.

-No pets allowed (on paper.) Have heard several dogs barking at all hours of the night.

-Rental office (Ida Pages and Sonya) will not help you if you complain. They will fill out a work order, send someone up at their leisure, and the workers will then report that it looks like you broke whatever is broken and not fix it. Office will attempt to charge resident for what is clearly shoddy workmanship.

-More than one person in this building feels it is perfectly appropriate to bring their child into the hallway to let them scream, no matter what time it is, rather than consoling them or having them do it inside of the apartment. They feel the need to share this with their neighbors.



There is much more, but you get my point. I'm not the only person with these problems, either.
