My daughter was admitted into the ER Jun 8, 2011 with an apparent infection because of a high fever, headache and chills. First of all, they wanted to run some unnecessary tests it seemed to take up time or maybe for insurance money. It took about 2 1/2 hours to finally determine through a simple urine test that in deed she had a urinary track infection. The Doctor on duty would not listen to the patients needs and concerns making it sound like she was not cooperating with them in refusing medication that she's not use to, and staying over night when all she really needed was a simple IV of antibiotics in which she finally got. It felt like they, (nurse and doctor) 'knew it all' in not even wanting to listen to the patient who was an intelligent experience person, not some zombie. After coming home daughter got better quickly and didn't need any extra medications, esp. more hospitalization where she'd apt to get another infection possible. This is exactly the way it happened, with no variation or exaggeration; it was just another bad experience at ER French Medical Center! Thank You.
