Mohawk Packing is an affiliate of John Morrell & Company. The company produces a variety of meat products, such as corned beef and smoked sugar cured meats. Mohawk Packing s brands include Farmers Hickory, which markets ham and bacon; Shenson, which markets four varieties of corned beef; and The Real McCoy, which markets brisket and round corned beef. Mohawk s parent organization, John Morrell & Company, is a wholly owned and independently managed subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, one of the largest vertically integrated producers of processed meat and fresh pork in the United States. Mohawk Packing is based in San Jose, Calif.
