Retinal Diagnostic Center was founded in 1980 as a retina specialist center devoted to the care and treatment of patients. Our physicians are board certified in Ophthalmology with advanced fellowship training in diseases and surgery of the retina and the vitreous. Our doctors diagnose and treat all vitreo-retinal conditions using the newest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment. Conditions we treat include diabetic & vascular retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, macular degeneration, degenerative myopia, retinal detachments, retinal holes, as well as many other less common retinal conditions. Our treatments include surgeries, YAG laser, photodynamic therapy, and injections of Eylea, Lucentis, Syfovre, Izervay, Vabysmo, Ozurdex, Illuvian and Avastin. In addition, our physicians are committed to the innovation of treatment options for patients through their research and clinical trials.

Dr. Brian Ward has retired as of 3/31/2019. He was the founder of Retinal Diagnostic Center in 1980. Our physicians will continue to follow and treat Dr. Ward's patients. Dr. Brian Ward is the founder of the Retinal Diagnostic Center situated in Campbell, California, with additional offices and clinics in San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Watsonville.
