Great local store. Customer service is cool because they don't try and sell you like a car salesman, they just chat with you until you're ready to buy. They know their instruments pretty well, and they have different ones from all over the world.

They are extremely rude and become defensive when asked about the quality of their lessons. I was shopping around San Francisco for violin lessons and a friend recommended that I ask this business whether their instructors play professionally - in other words, "Know what you're paying for." The woman I asked became hostile and said, "Maybe you should call the symphony and see if you could get lessons from them. Because I don't think people who play professionally would teach." This was an obvious sign that this person knew nothing outside of their own music store/school. If she did, she would know that many professionals teach to supplement their income. Therefore, I do not recommend this place as a music school since they are uneducated about their own industry. Secondly, their abrasive customer service led me to believe that my lessons with them would be rushed and they wouldn't care about my own musical goals. If you are looking for lessons, there ARE professional instructors.

Purchased a violin through ebay. It will not hold tuning. Had to be fitted (an additional $70.00). Company will not deal with me at all.
