i came here because of the good reviews, and i was not disappointed. they were very good at keeping me up to date on my repair. i have to take one star away, because they could not fix my car right away because they were very busy. they are also not open on fridays, which is kind of a drag. their work was great, and service was awesome. just call first to make an appointment. i'll be coming back here next time my car needs it.

I called this place as it claims to be a mazda specialist for a tune up on my 1992 well-running mazda miata. I was told that they do not service cars older than 10 years at all!!. It's like a doctor saying he only treats 20 years-olds. They cannot be very proficient if they can only work on new cars.

my check engine light went on and i took my car in to sf autoworks. they read the code and told me what it was for no charge (other places charge at least $50 for this) and told me to come back if it went back on. it did, so i made an appointment for 2 days later and they read the code again and figured out what the problem was-- it had to do with my stereo, so they referred me to a reliable audio place and didn't charge me anything, again! amazing. they seem very conscious + concerned about being a good auto business....they had an article on their front desk about how to find reliable auto mechanics and had clippings from newspapers saying that they were among the best in the bay area. highly reccomend.

I'm sure they had other customers but they made me feel like the only one. Every time I called, I never felt rushed. They answered my questions patiently and were very responsive to my requests. I'd absolutely take my car here again.

These guys were trustworthy, efficient, knowlegeable, and inexpensive. Kevin remembered my name when I came to pick up my car and they even washed it- just becuse it needed it! I've never had such a good experience with auto repair.

I've been a customer at San Francisco Autoworks for 4 years, and the team there has always given me straightforward advice and great repairs. They provide high quality work at reasonable prices, and I completely trust them with my car.
