Nicholas Daniels, MD, MPH, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. He provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.Dr. Daniels has a special interest in men's health, executive health, international health and travel medicine, and infectious diseases. Dr. Daniels research interest includes the relationship of inflammation and prostate cancer, reducing racial and ethnic disparities in adult immunizations, and food and waterborne diseases in the United States and internationally. As a professor in the Department of Medicine, he is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Daniels practiced at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Daniels completed his fellowship training at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at UC San Francisco. He earned his medical degree at University of Washington School of Medicine, a masters degree in public health at Yale University and a bachelors degree in biochemistry at Cornell University.
