Bill is a great communicator. He not only was the first contractor to get us a bid and respond to us, he consistently followed up via text, email and phone to ensure that we got what we needed. That was especially amazing since some other contractors wouldn't even call us back!! We decided to actually sell the house instead of remodel so in the end didn't move forward with Bill, but I was so impressed with his follow-through. I would definitely want to work with him in the future.

I bought a Condo in 2011 and it had a nice complicated Rolling Steel Door Garage. Unfortunately, I needed it be repaired and could find no one in San Diego to assist. I was lucky and found Maurer Construction. He has provided excellent service and I would recommend him to anyone.

I have hired Bill a few times to do projects both big and small for my house and he always does a 5-star job. He completely remodeled my kitchen (among many other projects he has done) and it is without a doubt the best thing about my house. Bill Maurer and Maurer Construction was great! I've heard so many nightmares on kitchen remodels, but that wasn't the case with Maurer Construction. I got my beautiful, forever kitchen with custom cabinets, marble countertops, and new floor plan. He was able to complete the remodel within the time given and fixed multiple safety and fire issues that were hidden behind walls and floors. I will hire Maurer Construction again and recommend them for as a honest, professional contractor.

For years we had a minor problem with water pooling under our house, particularly in the wintertime and after rainstorms. Maurer Construction assessed our situation, and recommended a modestly-priced solution that combined a sump pump and circulating fans to keep the soil dry under our house. It is a tight, rocky and uncomfortable working environment under most California homes, and ours is no exception. Yet this contractor was willing to crawl in underneath our house, and do what needed to be done, without cutting any corners. They excavated a hole for the sump pump and installed and connected everything very efficiently. It fixed our problem beautifully and the solution should last for years to come. I had the pleasure of working with Maurer Construction on an extensive Kitchen remodel in Carmel Mountain. Business owner Bill Maurer turned out to be an excellent communicator, superb in executing the given task of coordinating the different trades and keeping everything on schedule and given Budget! From the get-go, Bill displayed knowledge that only a company can have that has been in business as long as his. His priority was to give my client the best of the best within a tied budget without compromising quality and looks. He was hands-on in making sure every single detail was perfect, the client was thrilled with his presence at all the important stages of the project. He made it a point to keep the areas neat and clean and gave the client a functional working and cooking space for the entire project. Last summer we hired Maurer Construction to remodel our master bathroom in Point Loma. The father and son contractors gutted everything down to the studs and the plywood subfloor before transforming the room. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. Their design and building expertise were superior. They also managed to incorporate everything we wanted! Bill Jr. and Sr. have extensive experience with commercial and residential remodels, as well as luxury yachts. This experience and their pride in workmanship were evident in every detail of our remodel, from exactness of measurements to the preparation of floors, walls and shower foundation. Their subcontractors also did quality work and were constantly supervised. The worksite was cleaned up daily and we felt very little disruption during construction. The best remodeling contractors in San Diego.Maurer Construction did a wonderful job with my bathroom remodeling project. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a general contractor. They were helpful in every sense of the word from picking the right tub to what would be the most practical choice for flooring. We are now working out the plans for a kitchen remodel and maybe the whole house.

The best general contractor in San Diego. We hired Maurer Construction last year to build a wood deck and stairs in the front of our house and had Bill back out in July to build us a custom wood patio deck cover and just like last year, they gave us a solid bid, great communication and cleaned up daily. I cant say enough, fabulous work. I wish we had found them before the kitchen remodel was done, what a nightmare.
