RIPPED OFF!!

My husband and I stayed there Friday night 7/10/09. We had an emergency and had to check out quite early on Saturday morning. In our rush, we left my husbands New Blackberry Phone on the nightstand. We were preoccupied all day Saturday and then realized Sunday morning that we left it. We have a GPS on the phone so we were positive it was still in the hotel. When my husband arrived to speak to security, the girl said no one turned in a phone. Housekeeping denied seeing it too. Now we had been calling the phone all morning and it rang, like it was on. As soon as we told security that there was a GPS on the phone, it quit ringing and was shut off. Coincidence? I don't think so. I am so sad that you employ untrustworthy people. We enjoyed our stay and thought about returning. But now that will never happen and we are going to write to every one in San Diego who prints Hotel reviews to let them know that the staff ate the Ivy Hotel can not be trusted. I hope this letter finds it's way to the owner or head manager of the hotel. Granted it was our stupidity that we forgot it, but a place that is as classy as the Ivy Hotel should be more careful who they hire, and also be ASHAMED for stealing it!

Also you will be charged $30.00 to Valet park, something they do not mention before you get there. Parking is terrible downtown and it really leave you no choice.

It is quite noisy. The rooftop bar is open till 2AM. We were on the 3rd floor and heard girls screeching and laughing till it closed. It was LOUD.

Finally, a cocktail cost $15 unless it's happy hour and you order a particular drink from the happy hour menu.

I would NEVER stay there again.
