Thai Siam has the best thai iv'e had in a great while. It's become a favorite to whomever I invite. SSHS gives it 5 stars without a doubt!

Can't say enough about the Thai Siam on military drive - across from the Security Hill Gate on Lackland AFB.My staff and I use to go to the Asia Kitchen, but you can't beat the buffet that Melissa puts out. She's the owner AND the cook! Her Mother, a native Thai, owned the restaurant before her, but the place has CHANGED for the better.The buffet is AMAZING! Can't wait to get my hands on her Thai Fried Rice, especially when she makes the Tropical Fried Rice. Delicious!! LOL!She makes an awesome Pad Thai noodles with a GREAT flavor.And the Thai Tapioca dessert - made with coconut milk and other wonderful things is a great way to end your meal.Shey is limited to lunch till her 2nd cook arrives from Thailand, but the buffet at lunch is a great place to start.Tell her Dr. Reed sent you!

The new Thai Siam restaurant is "EXCELLENT"!Melissa, the owner, is also the cook and is the daughter of a Thai Mother.She cooks an entire buffet, consisting of many authentic Thai dishes, to include: Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, Panang red curry with Chicken, the Coconut Soup, and even the Thai Beef Salad...and much more! I discovered Thai Siam Buffet when I was home on a medical leave of absence this spring. This area directly south of LAFB has very little or no restaurants and I was surprised to find this gem right around the corner from my residence. Melissa the owner is also the cook and she works alongside a wonderful wait staff. Each time I've returned I have been greeted personally by name. The food, although moderately priced, is very good and authentic. A longtime lover of Thai food I was thrilled that I would not have to drive across the city any longer to satisfy my craving!The pad thai, steamed sticky rice and fruit, and thai iced tea are my favorites. The buffet is the best opportunity to sample items from the menu you might otherwise be hesistant to order.This is a perfect spot for a special date or occasion. In the evening the ambiance is candlelit and zen-like, very relaxing and romantic. I would recommend Thai Siam Buffet to anyone.

The Thai Siam restaurant on Military drive has been taken over by, thank goodness, a new generation of Thai's in the area with some class. I believe the daughter of the previous owner now runs the place and it has definitely become 'The Place' to eat for lunch! There's a great staff that is very considerate and they have this really neat thing of wanting to know your name and they remember your drink. Also, if you're first guest of the day at 11am, they give you a free buffet. It's great because they send over the entire staff and present this neat plant with a thai flag and cheer out your winnings. Lots of excitement here! A great place to network and meet new people.Oh!
