Dr. Van Blarcom earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1992 and his M.D. from the University of Kansas in 1996. He completed his pediatric residency at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1999.He started his professional career in 1999 as a general pediatrician in Elko, Nevada, where he worked for five years in a solo practice. He served as a pediatric preceptor for medical students from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine during his time in Elko.
